Slytherin Commons Through the wall to the dark common rooms for the students under Salazar Slytherin. Located in the Dungeons. There is also the boys and girls dorm, it is segregated by sex. Hufflepuff Commons Say the password and the three singing coats of armor will move to the side to reveal a door leading you into a comfortable commons for the children of Helga Hufflepuff. The Owlery It is a dark tower and a long climb no matter which way you approach it. A circular stone room, its rather cold and drafty, because none of the windows have glass in them. The floor is entirely covered in straw, owl droppings, and the regurgitated skeletons of mice and voles. Hundreds upon hundreds of owls of every breed imaginable are nestled here on perches that rise right up to the top of the tower, nearly all of them asleep, though here and there a round amber eye may glare down at any intruders. Inside the Castle

Great Hall A huge chamber with a ceiling that reflects the sky outside. Four long tables line the room, from right to left are: Gryffindor, Huffflepuff, Slytherin, Ravenclaw. Teachers sit on a raised platform at the High Table in the front of the room. Windows on one wall reveal the lawns. There is also a door that leads outside near these. The Kitchens Located directly below the Great Hall and are just the same size. They have high ceilings and a great brick fireplace at one end. Mounds of brass pots and pans are heaped around the walls. There are preparation tables directly below the four house tables in the Hall above, and when the time comes for the food to be served, it is magically transported through the ceiling of the kitchen onto the plates. The kitchens are staffed by a large number of house elves. To get to the kitchens, take the door to the right of the main staircase in the entrance hall. Corridors & Other Rooms Long, winding hallways that can lead you all over Hogwarts. The walls are always lined with pictures, more often food than people. Windows decorate the castle with their lovely pane designs, but they have a tendency to appear and reappear. Watch out for the armor! They seemed to have discovered a way to use roller-skates…Rooms have the tendency to move around here at Hogwarts. So maybe you’ll stumble upon one that is really interesting! Library Madame Pince seems to have a fondness of regular visitors. As long as you respect her books! There are tens upon thousands of them in here. Don’t expect to get into the restricted section without permission, plenty of wards. You’ll need to make sure you get a signed slip by the Head of your House or the Professor for the class. Towers & Rooftops Long winding stairs will take you up to the towers. One is used for Astronomy and another for Divination. Malfoy's Office and Residence The entrance is through a secret door behind a stature of a gargoyle on the second floor, the password for which is Veritas. Once in the door, you ride on a spiral wooden stairs that moves slowly upward. It is a large and beautiful circular room, full of funny little noises and huge windows. A number of curious silver instruments stood on spindlelegged tables, whirring and emitting little puffs of smoke. The walls were covered with portraits of old headmasters (minus Dumbledore) and headmistresses, all of who snooze gently in their frames. Outside the Castle

Quidditch Pitch Over half of the pitch was destroyed in the battle with the heiress. Magic has been cast to heal and rebuild the area. A distinctly silver colored mist covers the area healing. Lawns The rolling, sprawling expanse of Hogwarts Lawns. It’s endless, whether white washed with snow or green spring grass it’s a favorite spot for the students. Lake and Cliffs South to the Castle is the lake, home to all sorts of creatures besides the renowned giant squid. To the entire left side of it is a cliff which overlooks the castle, it slopes down on either end, one end leading to the Castle and the other to the forest. Forbidden Forest What once was a huge, dark forest full of all sorts of dark trees and foliage. creatures- dangerous and not- to count that reside in its depths. A large main path leads to Hogsmeade right outside of Hogwarts gates. Since the battle, the trees have wilted and there has been less sightings of its animals. It's slowly healing with a distinctly silver colored mist covers the entire forest floor. It's magic is a little awry. It wouldn't be wise to venture off the path unattended. Town Center and Streets The center has a pretty pink rose fountain that works even in winter due to a few well placed charms and spells. It’s a picture of a fairy and a young male lying by a brook, with smaller pixies holding pitchers of water where it spouts and falls into the marble pool beneath it.
